Wissahickon Valley Park Engagement Session – Ed & Jen

Last week we met up with Ed + Jen at Wissahickon Valley Park! A place they frequently come to to bike, hike & run! We captured Jen’s brother’s wedding five years ago and we loved every minute of getting to catch up with Jen during our session and learning more about Jen + Ed’s relationship! We are so thrilled to be able to capture another wedding for this family and can not wait to celebrate in May!!!

Tell us about the proposal?
Ed decided to propose on his birthday because to quote him, it was “the day I would least suspect it.” We went out to dinner, drove home (while listening to sappy music, the meaning for which I was oblivious to), and settled in at home. He asked me if I wanted to try a special occasion beer he picked up, and I said “sure.” With my back to him, he placed a can in front of me with a label that read “the Chesterson Proposal.” I turned around and saw him on one knee, presenting the ring. He had even queued up our song on our Alexa, “Can’t help falling in love with you”. It was intimate, and uniquely us.
