How did the two of you meet?
We met in Nashville, TN. Brett was there for a bachelor party and I was there for a fun girls trip with my college friend. As I was leaving the bar, I saw someone do a double take my way and I thought “Why not?” I walked over and Brett and I started talking. It turned out that we were both doing the same Spartan Race in Pennsylvania the very next weekend. We made plans to meet up before the race and the rest is history.
Tell us about the proposal!
On a cloudy Saturday morning, we went on our favorite trail run to the waterfalls in Great Falls, VA. About 3/4 of the way into the run we always stop at the falls to take a picture with the scenery in the background. When we reached this spot, we took our selfie and chatted about what we wanted to do around the house that day. As I was getting ready to finish the final mile back to the car, Brett got down on one knee and proposed.
